How to Know when you’ve Found True Love
Is it easy or hard to know when you’ve found true love? Well in theory, you should know that you’ve found true right away. After all, if it is so special that it trumps anything else you’ve ever felt, then it would stand to reason that you would recognize it immediately. The problem is that everyone brings something different to the table. So that means different backgrounds, different dating histories, and different expectations. What might be a sign true love for one person might be considered as unimportant for someone else. True love is a feeling that not everyone gets to experience, and maybe that’s why it’s so hard to quantify. But let’s give it a shot anyways. Here are some solid signs that you have found true love, and while they might not all apply to you, experiencing a good number of them might mean you’ve finally found your special soulmate.
1. You can finally be yourself. How many times have you felt you’ve had to hide things or act differently so that someone would like you? True love is about accepting the other person for who they are, and having that feeling returned equally. It’s a great feeling to be able to just let loose and ne who you are in front of another person. It’s a liberating gift that makes you feel wanted and accepted.
2. You feel happy. Not just happy like you’ve found a twenty dollar bill on the ground, happier like you’ve found a well with a never-ending supply of twenty dollar bills.
3. You feel optimistic. When you’ve found true love you start imagining the future. And as long as you don’t go overboard this can be great things when you start thinking about all the great possibilities with the other person.
4. You don’t want anything else. There are no lingering feelings that this person might not be for you, or wondering if there’s something better out there – because there isn’t. This is the person who was made for you and you feel certain of that.
5. You can’t wait to introduce them to your parents. We all know what it’s like to have flings with people who we would never want our parents to meet. It’s an entirely different matter when we meet someone who we know our parents will love, and we can feel confident that our true love will impress our parents like no other.
6. Even the fights aren’t that bad. It doesn’t matter if you’re with your perfect soulmate who was crafted by God himself to be your eternal partner. The fact is you’re going to fight because that’s a normal part of every relationship. But fighting with your true love never descends into being cruel of mean. Things get resolved and fights serve their purpose as a means of communication, rather than a way to hurt the other person.
7. You like yourself more. This great person loves you, and why not? You’re a good person too and totally deserving of this special true love.
8. You try just a little bit harder. Even if you’ve found your true love, it doesn’t mean they will stay with you no matter what. So rather resting on your laurels, you do your best to keep the relationships strong and healthy. It takes work to keep any couple together, but with your true love you are perfectly willing to do everything it takes to be together forever.
9. Kids! The biological reason why we’re all here is to procreate, and it might just be the spiritual reason for our existence a swell. So when we’ve found that perfect someone, we start thinking about the more serious things like marriage and having kids. Even people who never thought they wanted kids sometimes change their mind after meeting their soulmate.
10. This person is special. Sometimes we have a tendency to repeat patterns when it comes to relationships. Most people have a “type” and they usually end up with this type in one form or another. A true love might fall in line with a type, but he or she is the best example in the category. They have everything we typically look for in a partner, but they are special because they combine what we want in the perfect package. In short, they are the person we have always been looking for but just couldn’t quite seem to find.
